How do I create an account?

Click the "Get Started" button in the header and select your role (Apprentice or Employer). Fill in your basic details, verify your email with the OTP code sent to you, and you're ready to create your profile!

Is JobMatch free for apprentices?

Yes! JobMatch is completely free for apprentices. You can create a profile, get matched with employers, and use core features at no cost. Some features, such as messaging, become available after verifying your mobile number via WhatsApp. We believe in making trade opportunities accessible to everyone.

What information do I need to complete my profile?

For apprentices: trades of interest, location, experience level, availability, licenses (if any), and contact details. For employers: company details, location, trade needs, and business information.

Can I have multiple roles on the same account?

No, each account is tied to a single role. If you need access as both an apprentice and employer, you'll need to create separate accounts with different email addresses.

Matching & Connections

How does the matching algorithm work?

Our algorithm uses a weighted scoring system based on 7 key factors: Trade Match, Location, Experience, Licenses, Availability, Performance, and Quiz Scores. This ensures you get the most relevant and compatible matches.

What is the swipe feature for employers?

Employers can browse apprentice profiles and swipe right to express interest or swipe left to pass. When an employer swipes right and the apprentice accepts the match, direct messaging is enabled between both parties. Your subscription plan determines how many swipes you get per month.

Can apprentices search for employers?

Apprentices receive match suggestions based on our algorithm. You can view your matches, see employer profiles, accept or reject matches, and message employers who have matched with you.

How do I undo a swipe or rejection?

Employers can undo their most recent swipe from the swipes dashboard. Apprentices can undo match rejections from their matches page. Once you undo, the match opportunity becomes available again.

What happens when I accept a match?

When an apprentice accepts a match with an employer, both parties can communicate via the messaging system. The employer can then proceed with their hiring process.

Subscriptions & Pricing

Can I change plans later?

Yes, you can upgrade your subscription plan at any time from your dashboard and changes take effect immediately. However, downgrades are not supported — if you wish to move to a lower plan, please contact our support team for assistance.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept all major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express), PayPal, and bank transfers for annual subscriptions. All payments are securely processed through Stripe and PayPal.

Can I cancel my subscription anytime?

Yes, you can cancel your subscription at any time with no cancellation fees. Your access will continue until the end of your current billing period. You can reactivate your subscription later if needed.

Features & Functionality

What are job cards?

Job cards are apprenticeship opportunities posted by employers. They include details like trade type, location, requirements, experience level, and employment terms. Apprentices can view job cards and employers can manage them from their dashboard.

How does messaging work?

Once you're matched, you can send direct messages through our secure messaging system. All users with completed profiles can access messaging. Messages are real-time and support text communication between matched parties.

What are trade quizzes?

Apprentices can take trade knowledge quizzes to demonstrate their skills and understanding. Quiz scores contribute to the matching algorithm and help employers assess candidate knowledge levels.

How do favorites work?

You can save profiles you're interested in as favorites for quick access later. This feature is available to all user types and helps you keep track of potential matches or opportunities you want to revisit.

What analytics are available?

All subscription plans include analytics dashboards. View metrics like profile views, match rates, message response times, swipe activity, and performance trends.

Can I upload licenses and certifications?

Yes! Apprentices can upload license images, certificates, and credentials to their profiles. This helps employers verify qualifications and improves your matching score.

Security & Privacy

Is my data secure?

Absolutely. We use industry-standard encryption, secure HTTPS connections, Content Security Policy (CSP) headers, and secure authentication. All passwords are hashed, and we never store sensitive payment information.

Who can see my profile?

Your profile visibility depends on your role: Apprentice profiles are visible to employers. Employer profiles are visible to matched apprentices. Only matched users can message each other.

Can I delete my account?

Yes, you can request account deletion by contacting our support team at [email protected]. We'll permanently remove your data within 30 days in accordance with applicable privacy laws.

Do you allow disposable email addresses?

No, we block disposable email addresses during registration. This ensures all users have legitimate, permanent email addresses for account security and communication reliability.

How do you verify phone numbers?

We use WhatsApp to send a verification code (OTP) to your mobile number. After entering the code, your number is verified and full platform access is granted. Make sure you have an active WhatsApp account on the number you register with.

Technical Support

What browsers are supported?

JobMatch works best on modern browsers: Google Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Microsoft Edge (latest versions). We also have a mobile-responsive design that works on all smartphone and tablet browsers.

Is there a mobile app?

Currently, JobMatch is a web-based platform optimized for mobile browsers. You can access all features from your smartphone or tablet browser. A dedicated mobile app may be available in the future.

I'm not receiving verification emails. What should I do?

Check your spam/junk folder first. If you still don't see it, ensure you entered the correct email address and that your email provider isn't blocking our emails. Contact support if the issue persists.

How do I reset my password?

Click "Forgot Password?" on the login page, enter your email address, and we'll send you a password reset link. Follow the link to create a new password. The reset link expires after 24 hours for security.

My session keeps timing out. Why?

For security, we automatically log you out after 120 minutes of inactivity. You'll receive a warning 5 minutes before timeout. Simply interact with the page to stay logged in.

Are there age restrictions for apprentices?

While we don't enforce strict age restrictions, apprenticeship programs typically require participants to be at least 15 years old. Some trades may have higher minimum age requirements based on safety regulations.
